KILLSONIC – 09/03/2008

September 26, 2008

Killsonic is an East LA-based musicians’ collective that approaches jazz, improvised, and composed music with an avant-garde/punk sensibility. The band takes many
different forms, the most recent being a 20 to 30-piece marching band. Having already invaded clubs, bars, street corners, and public parks all over Los Angeles, they’re now
poised to show New York City what they’re all about.

In October, they’ll be heading out to play at John Zorn’s music space The Stone, Williamsburg’s Don Pedro, as well as the famous Bulgarian Bar Mehanata… and who
knows what’ll happen once they’re there? Please do whatever feels comfortable to help Killsonic gear up to invade the East Coast. Thunderous THANK YOUS.

March 22, 2008 PAID DUES IN ASSOCIATION WITH GUERILLA UNION

$40 per ticket $100 VIP, not too bad considering all the dope line up. One thing I can say is that I can’t stand NOS! Are we running out of ideas to throw events? Or is making money more important. Its too far and too big of a venue to enjoy each performance but the line up is just TOO SICK and can’t be missed!

Hopefully these guys are prepared for the crowd and can maintain control cause these events can get pretty rowdy, real quick. Check out their site for updated info.

APRIL 25-27 COACHELLA MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL

I really hate to go to big shows like this but DAMN! Check out the line up. I nearly pissed my pants to see that Portishead was headlining on April 26 with Kraftwerk, M.I.A, Hot Chip, Cafè Tacuba, Bonde Do Role, New Young Pony club….. and then some! And thats just Saturday alone! Friday’s line up is just as sick! Sunday has some good bands too but for me Friday and Saturday got my panties in a bunch. I just hope not all the bands I want to see play all at the same time which usually ends up happening at these kind of events. Coachella, good shit right there!
